Multi-Layer Action Scripts

A set of Gimp scripts designed to carry out repeating actions on multiple layers. The user specifies the layer range using number notation (the bottom layer is 1 and each layer going up is 1 higher than the one before it). Then other options can be set and applied.

As a summary:

Number Layers adds number notation to layers, starting at the specified layer number. Used mainly to identify what numbers are assigned to layers the user wishes to affect.

Copies Layers to New Image does exactly that. Layers from the specified range (including layer contents, mode, opacity and other settings) are sent to a new image, which is then displayed.

Delete Layers removes a specified range of layers from the image.

Edit Attributes of Layers can modify multiple attributes of specified layers, such as name, mode and opacity.

Scale or Crop Layers allows the user to resize layers or alter layer boundaries of chosen layers.

Transform Layers lets the user apply changes like rotate, flip, offset and move actions. Script even includes a spiral rotate option.

All this options will appear under the Layer > Multi-Layer Options menu from the image window.

To install download the file and extract the contents of the zip file to your scripts folder. By default this will be:

C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts

Scripts updated to now work with the latest version of Gimp. Note that the individual scripts in the scraps folder have not been updated. No functionality changes have been made.
